Staff development and people management
SIRC recognises the importance of focusing
its activities on the individuals who have sustained a spinal cord injury.
To support this aim SIRC has policies and procedures which assist staff
in providing integrated patient-centred care. A purpose-built centre gives
the opportunity to provide services with appropriate tools and environment
underpinned by processes and workflows which are simpler to manage. SIRC
has worked with experienced volunteers to establish a structured, disciplined
approach to rehabilitation that looks to minimise risk. This approach
is part of a continuous development programme.
