SIRC's internal monitoring yardstick
is the quality of patient care and how the patients eventually integrate
into the community. Hence it is important to follow-up patients’
rehabilitation to the home community. SIRC will continue to increase
its focus on outreach and community-based activities, by continuing
to use and build its links with other organisations providing services
in specific geographic areas. In addition to home visits and questionnaires,
SIRC seeks feedback from partners to evaluate the quality of care
it has provided. Consultants from John Grooms Overseas have evaluated
the quality of service provision within SIRC. Through funding from
the Irish Government this will continue with a service improvement
plan for the next three years.
